Schooling, Breaking and Show Production

Schooling & Breaking

We take horses & Ponies for schooling and breaking all year round, and with our three lightweight jockeys we can take ponies from any height.

We treat each Horse/Pony as an individual and cater to their personal needs; once they are settled in our yard environment we begin work and believe in building a relationship with the animals so the same person works with them each day to begin with.

With our excellent facilities once the horse progress we can work in a range of environments by the time they are broken and happy they can be working in indoor and outdoor arenas an hacking across our land and tracks.

Once we have the horse/pony riding away we invite the rider to come and have some lessons so before the horse/pony returns home the new combination are ready to move on.

Show Production

We also take a range of horses and ponies to produce for the show ring from lead reins through the Show Hunter and Show Pony classes to Intermediates, Coloured’s and Mountain and Moorlands.

We produce pony rider combinations and also take horses to ride in the ring for customers. We train riders at home and feel as rider/competitors ourselves we can give our prodigy a good grounding to become professional show riders and increase the understanding of showmanship, ring craft and what is required of them in the ring.

We also encourage our jockeys to enjoy their sport and feel we have a great team sprit and support each other in many ways and have lots of laughs along the way.

In producing we believe attention to detail is paramount and no stone is left unturned, we prepare horses and riders for every eventuality when training at home, each individual has their own work plan and regime to suit them, including, feeding, lessons, schooling and turnout. When in the ring the Horse/pony and rider are turned out the highest standard and always look immaculate.

One of the keys to our successes is treating the show animals as horses, they go out in the field every day and are allowed to relax and have their rugs of and get dirty and enjoy life. In return they are happy characters and enjoy their work.
